Enough With The 25 Random Things About Me Lists!
A note to all of my friends who are writing those "25 Random Things About Me" lists and posting them on Facebook: If I want to know 25 random things about you, I'll ask. Please stop with these lists!
I'm all for sharing, but it is too much, and I am overwhelmed and exhausted by the avalanche of 25 Random Things About Me lists that people want me to read.
"Did you read my list? What did you think?"
People not only want me to read these lists, they want feedback.
To be blunt, if we are good enough friends, I already know that you crapped in your pants while onstage during your high school musical or that you've always had a special appreciation for the tenderness of butterflies. Now if I didn't know these things about you and had to learn them via a list you post on Facebook, then I am probably not great friends with you anyway, therefore have no need to know these things about you.
And who came up with the idea of these lists containing 25 items anyway? I am a huge fan of Madonna, but I don't think even I could get through a list of 25 random things about Madonna. If you are going to write one of these lists, why not at least make it a more palatable 10 Random Things About Me? Or better yet, why not 3 Random Things About Me? Or even better yet, how about 0 Random Things About Me?
Am I the only one who can't take the barrage of 25 Random Things About Me lists?
