Text Mesage Nightmares!

Text messaging is discreet, fun and efficient. It can also be disastrous!

We polled our office for some examples of text message nightmares:

•    One chap intended to send a short and sweet love note to his same-sex partner of several years. Unfortunately, he accidentally selected the entry alphabetically just before his partner…his partner’s father! We wouldn’t suggest that route for National Coming Out Day!

•    Another coworker commuted weekly to her job a few hundred miles away. When a weekend trip home had to be canceled due to work, she sent her girlfriend a quick note apologizing for having to cancel and telling her that she loved her. She received a response “HUH? I wil C U. Luv U 2?” She had emailed the message to her boss.

•    A guy in marketing is a text fiend. He has a buddy who is textaphobic and hates it when the guy gets all thumbsy. They were out one night and he was in the middle of several chats and just to further irritate his friend, he sent the message “WANT SOME COCK” to his parents’ landline. Too bad he didn’t know that his parents had gotten a new text to voice converter feature for their house line. That must have been some wake-up call!
